"Brother....?" Akira propped his head onto his brother's shoulder, swiveling the only good part on his body around and staring his brother in the eye.
"Yes Akira?" The dominate brother glanced over to face his sibling, matching his gray eyes in the same tone.
"Why are we here?" The brother looked ahead of him at the vast field before him, the flawless landscape cascading around them.
"To release us of this monstrous curse.." Daisuke held his opposite shoulder, pressing against that burden that bound him to his sick master Orochimaru.
The two brothers despised Orochimaru, had been bound to him by the curse he forcefully gave them after the death of their older cousins, Sakon and Ukon.
Though these brothers were more powerful, they were strong of heart. They did not want the curse in the first place.
Now was the time to end it.
"You know that neither of us will survive this correct?" Akira began to pull away from his brother, forming an entirely seperate body.
His brother nodded and the two simultaneously took out kunai and flipped them pointed end inwards.
"With luck, the curse will be rid from us when we reach hell." Daisuke smirked at his brother.
"Ready?" Akira put a hand on his brother's shoulder and bowed slightly.
Daisuke nodded and Akira lowered his hand.
"I will see you there my brother..."
At once, the two brothers plunged kunai through their chest, careful to hit exactly at the heart to avoid at least pain as possible.
"Tch.." Blood spilled over from the wound and their mouths. Their curses quickly formed over them, forming claw-like marks all over their skin.
"Almost there..."
The curse faded towards their face, mutating their skin into a bluish tint and forming a pair of cattish ears over their regular ears. A scaly covering took over their skin and claws grew from their hands and feet.
The brothers fell to their knees and pushed harder still, all at once puncturing their hearts.
"This is..." Daisuke slowly fell over on his face.
"the end, my brother..." Akira did the same.
And all at once, their bodies became cold and the curse that bound them retreated and disappeared.
We have won...
