Alone in the Base

[hiromi]

After the incident at fountain, Hiromi had materialized to a few different places but could not find Itachi at any one of them. She was already tired and did not want to make any more futile attempts at searching for him. So the small girl just returned to the Akatsuki base. Itachi-sama did say he sensed the ten-tail near the base, right? Hiromi thought biting her lip. Either way she assumed that her partner would eventually return the base.

Hiromi looked around, headquarters was quite. This was one occurrence she was not used to. The silence seemed to strike a nerve, as she haughtily slung her hat down on the nearest piece of furniture. Hiromi ran her fingers through she silky hair with an annoyed expression plastered on her face. Suddenly an thought hit her, she was alone in the base with no one there to bother her. As the female Akatsuki member began to plot something clearly up to no good, she heard a creak of the floor boards. She jumped and turn around flailing wildly "Who's there!?"

Keiko had slept in, seeing as she was giving Shu another day off. He was using a lot of his chakra lately and she knew he needed his rest. The short haired girl woke to an empty base, making her feel slightly, relieved? Yeah, one could say that. She didn't need to worry about avoiding the others, seeing as she wasn't afraid of them, just slightly annoyed by some. And they didn't make an effort to see her either, so what was the point? She got dressed and headed to walk around.

Not in the mood to do anything else really, she just slowly walked. When she came across another area, she noticed that her and Shu weren't the only ones here. Keiko stared to walk in quietly, not to creep up on her, just because she wasn't sure who it was. She didn't remember there being another female with black hair. As she stepped on a creeky board, the girl seemed to freak out and turned to her, wailing 'Who's there?!' and Keiko's eyes were slightly wide that she was that jumpy. "Um, Keiko?" She said, uncertain why she wasn't on a mission like the rest of the Akatsuki.

Hiromi's eyes were just as wide as Keiko's. She remained silent for a long moment before she spoke up "H-hi Keiko." she mumbled. The dark haired girl looked away from the girl in front of her, mortified because of her childish reaction to the small sound. In all honesty she had expected it to Kakuzu, the person who she had been planning to prank.

Hiromi blinked and looked back up at the girl who called herself Keiko smiling "Sorry about that." she said apologetically. "Thought you were some one else..." Her green eyes looked around the room as if expecting to see another person to jump out behind a vase. "Erm...I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Nagisa, Hiromi. Please call me Hiro-san if you want to." Hiromi said her gaze now on her feet, looked very awkward while doing this.

Keiko watch as the girl seemed embarrassed of her actions, making Keiko rock back on her heels. The girl seemed to finally get her speech and say hello to her, making her nod her head slightly as a response. As the green eyes looked away from her, the brown eyed girl continued to stare. She obviously was new, or at least new to Keiko. Itachi said they had more members and she was normally out with Shu. And Shu only really talked with Deidara, staying away from the rest.

As she apologized, she smiled slightly, "It's okay, I didn't mean to frighten you." She said, trying to ensure her that it was fine. Once again, the girls eyes looked around, and Keiko slightly frowned. Was she afraid that the walls were going to eat her? She could only imagine why she was so nervous. She introduced herself as Hiromi. Ah, yes, Itachi had told her about Hiromi. She was in charge of finding the ten-tailed. This also made the brown eyed girl think of why she was not out. Well, that was hardly any of her business. "Nice to meet you Hiro-san. Itachi has told me a little about you." She said, reaching up and tucking some black hair out of her eyes. "How is your search going?" Keiko asked.

"Well," Hiromi said quite thoughtfully "I was in Konoha searching for leads, when Itachi-sama appeared before me," the dark haired girl paused for a moment. "He told me that he had sensed the ten-tailed around the base. But before he could continue we were interrupted. Itachi got side tracked and soon disappeared with out telling me where he was going. I looked around for him but I couldn't find him. So I supposed I would return to the base, assuming he would return here eventually. I was hoping that Hidan would be around...or maybe Deidara...I haven't met him yet." Hiromi smiled at the end of her long 'tale'.

Hiromi sighed and rubbed her temples looking irritated. "Anyways, Itachi-sama has told me some about you as well. Your training Shu, correct?" She inquired in a very cheerful manner.

Keiko nodded her head. "He did come back here, I saw him but he had to leave for some mission." She explained to her, knowing that she should understand more then anything about missions. She walked around her and sat herself on the couch. She let her legs fold under her as she sat before looking to the other girl in the room. "And everyone seems to be out on a mission today. But I am sure you will meet them some other time. But I don't know how much you will see Hidan..." She let her voice drag off as she went into thought. Her brown eyes seemed un-focused until Hiromi spoke again.

She looked towards the girl when she said Itachi had told her about her. Keiko raised an eyebrow an then listened as she continued. Ah, yes. The pain in the neck, little brother of hers. Well, he really wasn't her little brother, but she looked at him like that. "Yes I am. He has been doing a lot better lately, though he doesn't seem to listen well." She mumbled the last part and rubbed her temples with a slightly frustrated look. She looked like Hiro-san did just a few moments ago. "You will probably see him running around." She told her, her eyes glancing at the door way as if he was to now come running out into the area.

Hiromi smiled and sat down on the nearest chair "I suppose it seems as though he drives insane sometimes?" she asked as she pushed her hair out of her face. She did notice Keiko glance to the door way as though she were expecting some one to walk though it. Hiromi thought this was quite amusing but kept her thoughts to herself. Her attention seemed to focus on the ceiling, she remained quite feeling slightly awkward.

"Erm..." Hiromi said thoughtfully "I suppose the only thing I can do for the moment is wait here." this was an attempt to keep the conversation flowing. She was usually quite shy when meeting new people and the only way she could hide that fact was by attempting to keep her self talking. Hiromi had strange ways of doing things, she preferred being able to talk to some one aimlessly then standing by and saying nothing at all.

~(Muhahaha....I'm jumping in)~

Hara slammed the door quickly and growled as she went past the two looking for Itachi. That bastard didn't say anything about a book, which she still didn't know what it was. Seeing that he wasn't there she went back to the other two.
"Where's Itachi?"
She sounded a bit more mean then needed but she was pissed.
Taking a minute to calm down she realized she hadn't ever talked to these members before. She wondered why they were still there and sighed realizing they were probably not on the mission either.
Normally when she saw people she didn't know in the base she would kill them on contact but alas, she had seen then around, so they were safe.
waiting fro their reply she wondered if there was any of the others still there.

Hiromi blinked looking startled when Hara slammed the door. She then watched as she walked past her and Keiko growling. Hiromi raised her eye brow and her immediate immpression of Hara was that she definantly had an attitude problem. 'Where Itachi?' She demanded in a cold voice causing Hiromi to purse her lips, obviously annoyed. The other girl who seemed to be flustered and was starting to calm down down. "You know, it would be wise to be a little more polite to some one you just met." The raven haired Akatsuki member said in stern authorative voice, she was immitating Itachi.
