Round 1 Shishi Uchiha vs. Kura Tsukiyoma

Your fighting arena shall be...water logged.
You fight on a lake with floating boards scattered throughout the entirety of the lake. Each board is rigged to flip over if its stood on for more than seven seconds so constant movement is key. But why such an odd environment you ask? Because it wouldn't be fun if it was easy.

The fight will begin after both characters have posted at least once as a pre fight conditioning. After the second post go all out. And remember...have fun

Kura's excitement rose as her genin tournament was about to begin, Some Shishi kid was her opponent and she wasn't going easy on him. Her studied her battle ground, wet, planks to balance on, and flipped over every couple seconds. Kura's advantage, was that she was fast and had fantastic balance. Downfall, she didn't enjoy water too much and the water logged area would make it harder for her to smell, which would mean she couldn't use her closed eye technique, only on the feel of the genins movements, by feel, hearing and her sight of him. She wasn't sure of his elemental affinity, but she had two so she was okay. She tiptoed into her arena and started to hop on each plank quickly, getting a few for her battle area, awaiting her opponent.

Shishi Uchiha approached the battle ground, his fire element burning brightly. He stepped on a platform, noticing it fell after a certain time, and he took that time in to his advantage. He knew fire here, and it was good unless she went into the water. He already had a strategy brewing in his head, and he smiled to himself, activating his Sharingan. "You sure you wanna fight with an Uchiha?" He asked confidently.

Kura laughed out loud, "Underestimation huh? Your Funeral." Kura did not yet activate her Kekkei Genkai due to the fact that she doesn't know how strong her opponent was. And an underestimation on her part would pin her with the losers. Kura closed her eyes and smiled, "I'm not afraid of a child, barely taller than me who doesn't quite know whats in store for him later on in his ninja career." She looked back at him, standing a little lower, waiting for him to make the first move.

Shishi laughed maniacally when she said it was his funeral. He pulled out some metal wire from his pouch and threw a strand onto a wooden plank she was on. The steel couldn't be cut with a kunai, if he did manage to wrap her then she could escape with a escapement technique. If it missed her it would fasten around the board she was standing on.

Kura saw metal wire coming straight for her, She formed a series of hand signs. "Wind Sytle: Violent Wind Palm!" Kura clapped her hands just before the wire reached her, sending the wire back towards him. She jumped back a few planks, closed her eyes and activated the first stage of her Kekkei Genkai. Hoping the fresh boggy water wouldn't completely cover up her sense of smell. Kura's hearing began to heighten, her sense of smell got better and all other senses were increasing. Kura knew standing on this plank for too long it would soon flip over. Her eyes still closed she ran towards the kid with no real intent of attacking, only blocking to see his taijutsu skill.

'Wind release?' He thought surprised, and spun the wire around him, reattaching it on the previous board. He leaped off right before the seven second mark and faced her. He did some hand seals and yelled "Great Fireball Technique!" A semi large fireball erupted from his mouth and raced across the water, the flame gleaming off of the water. She would not win this. Her wind element was a severe disadvantage,.

Kura knew she scented the fire release, but she couldn't be sure. She had to fight with eyes open, she flicked open her eyes only to see a huge ball of fire roaring towards her. She slipped into the lake to avoid the attack, feeling the flames heat, warm up the water. 'Damn it, i thought i was going to be able to do this with out getting wet.' Kura had an ace in the hole, but she was going to wait for that later. 'My wind style is useless, unless there is a way i can turn his fire against him, those odds, not likely.' Kura dipped her head back above water, took a breath and raised herself above the water to station herself on a plank before jumping to another. Her malevolent red eyes were in a dead stare into his, "Nifty, looks like my wind release is kind of, well, useless." Kura smiled, "No matter," She disappeared and reappeared, closer behind him, "I'll just have to be faster, no?" Kura aimed a palm at the center of his back, preparing to set him off balance.

Shishi watched her leap into the water to avoid his technique. Good. Being wet would slow her down, if only a little. He watched her disappear and turned around before she could get the job on him. He caught the wrist with one hand and looked at her. "Too bad it doesn't matter how fast you are. I can see you." He formed a release seal and took in a deep breath, about to unleash a torrent of fire just inches from her face.

Kura smiled and winked, as his face was preparing to send out another troublesome fireball. She formed no hand sign and transformed. Se was now about one eighth of her human size, because she was now a cat. She latched her claws onto his shoulder, in an attempt to claw her way off him, leaving little bites every now and then in his skin. She had to think of a strategy. She couldn't kiss him, because that would make the fight unfair, she didn't want to kill him, even if it was a competition. She just wanted to beat the shit out of him, and she couldn't do that with his fire technique. "She spoke when she was partway down his back, "You think you are strong with just your fire element jutsu? What's the fun in that?" She couldn't think of a plan, and with his eye seeing her movements it would be hard to use taijutsu, unless she advanced into the Toradankai, which made her more beast like. She would have to let the beast instinct take over, so he couldn't read her movements. 'That's too risky.' She thought to herself, but trashed her precaution and her chakra began to flare she did not yet let go of his back, letting the second stage of her Kekkei Genkai engage.
