Kakuzu and Kisame walked into a small village, it was perfect, no one would suspect they where hiding out here, and not many people seemed to know who they where either. However, they did leave their cloaks in their new house when the walked the village.

.:KISAME:.
"Excellent, now, is there any vacant apartment buildings?" Kisame smiled at the frightened mayor, seeming as though Kakuzu and Kisame stood two feet taller then the short, stout man."Y-y-yes, there is one...but even in a small town like this it isn't cheap." Kisame reached his hand into his pocket and pulled out a sack of cash and plopped it in front of the mayor."Will this pay it?"

.:KAKUZU:.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MIND?!" Kakuzu quickly snatched up the Sack as the mayor anxiously looked at the prize given to him."I am not spending this much money in a shitty little town like this! Your insane, Kisame." At the sound of his name, the Mayor's eyebrows raised.

.:KISAME:.
"You idiot, you don't say my name in public..." The Mayor rolled his seat to the wall of his office, and grabbed a sword from it's mantle. "D-d-d-don't kill m-me!!!!" The blade shook as it pointed at Kisame. "Heheheheheh, do not be afraid, simply give us a house, and don't tell anyone we are here, got it?" Kisame's grin widened. "so, I guess I am going to be given a hefty reward for keeping my mouth shut?" The mayor rubbed his fingers together and smiled a greedy little smile.

.:KAKUZU:.
"Keep dreaming, your 'reward' is you not dieing..." Kakuzu disapperead and reappered crouching down in front of the mayor, Eye to eye. "F-F-F-FINE!!! TAKE MY SUIT!!!" And with that, Kakuzu left the building, happy he didn't have to spend any money. "Coming, Kisame?"

"Yeah." Kisame was at the doorway and climbed out, but turned. "It really is tragic when a small, quiet town is ruled by a greedy idiot, kukukuku..." He grabbed the Mayor's key and followed Kakuzu to their temporary home.

Once inside the building, Kakuzu quickly moved to the mayors private quarters.

"OH YEAH! I bet staying in here will make me look rich!" Kakuzu looked over at Kisame, who shook his head and took the guest room. "Fine, be like that..." Kakuzu went through the mayors desk and belongings, looking for...Money! There it was! There was a rather large safe on the dresser, and when Kakuzu picked it up, it seemed to have quit a bit of contents inside. Kakuzu fiddled with the lock, but he just couldn't get it to open. "No matter, a ninjutsu should do the tri-" Kisame had walked in an spoken to him. "Waddaya mean, no ninjutsu?" He guessed Kisame was right, if they where seen or heard they could have leaf shinobi on their tails...something the didn't want. Kakuzu grabbed a deck of playing cards from the dresser and took each one out, and tried to slide it through the lock and open it. He tried fifteen times, ripping the card each time. "Dammit!" he tried again, and heard a faint CLICK! he swung open the safe and found a pouch...

He hated Kakuzu's greed, he found it annoying and possibly dangerous, he knew he would die in his sleep if Kisame had a price on his head. So he just let him have the bigger room, not that he cared. they would only be here for about a month anyway. After Kisame set his things away, he walked back to Kakuzu, and saw him try to find something...what could he be searching for? Wait, the only thing he would search for...money. And he found it. A big safe, not very intricate, but big, none the less. He saw Kakuzu's futile attempts to open it and he was amused, until he recommended a jutsu be used on it."What the hell? If you use ninjutsu, you could be seen or heard, I don't wanna have to cut down any more leaf ninja then I got to, okay?" Kakuzu listened, but he could tell he was angry. So, with a deck of cards, He tried to open it by sliding the card through the crease on the side of the hatch, but failed. Kisame found himself a comfortable place to sit, and watched in amusement. But, Kakuzu did manage to open it eventually, and he saw a fairly large sack inside...

They both stared at it's contents. A golden necklace, a huge, golden-chained necklace with a big bright green medallion on it. Instinctively, Kakuzu shoved it in his pocket as Kisame simply did not care and looked out the window. He saw something interesting...finally. and soon too, He didn't think he could take much longer with Kakuzu. A bird, it's eyes in the form of the sharingan, obviously it was Madara's sent over to deliver a message. "Yo." Kisame sent the bird away and turned to Kakuzu, a letter in hand. "We need to go. Now." Kakuzu didn't care, he got a big gold medallian so he was content. The proudly put their cloaks on and left the building. "Just one quick thing..." Kakuzu pivoted on his foot and blasted a huge fireball at the house, which blew up and burned down not only the mansion, but also the smaller buildings behind it. Both men turned to the mayor, crying on his knees, and walked passed him like he was never there. "HEY YOU!" angry villagers gathered everywhere, and the two put their head-covers on-Kisame's hat, and Kakuzu's mask- and turned to them. "Where do you think your going? Your gonna pay for-" but it was too late. Kakuzu already kicked him into the fire behind them. No one spoke to the two ninja as they left the small town.
