Of Men and Stories...
How many Shinobi died through wars? How many failed to complete missions? How many died before they even had their first A-rank? Those questions hurt Kitru to ask himself. Yet here he was, a good medical ninja, yet he wasted his time training himself in so many forms. Was he a good person, or was he cruel for not liking to fight? People died when he lost his controls, yet... he had so little to give to those who tried to befriend him. In thousands of ways, Kitru just couldn't let go of his past. It haunted him beyond his ability... no matter how much he hated to admit his stepfather's memories impacted his entire life. He looked down into the water. The young Albino nin was watching the fish eat the crumbled bread he had thrown in... he hated to eat meat that he knew personally. One of the larger fish got close to him, and then suddenly disappeared. "I know. It's only another Nin. Don't be scared." His tone was so soft, so caring... how could someone like him be a nin? Looking back, his blue eye stared blankly. The scars covering it were more than enough proof of his skill, and his winnings. Standing up from the dock, he looked over, his gold eye a bit more lively that the blue. "I don't like a liar, so quit staring at me and show yourself." It wasn't a commanding tone, but it had a laced-in, unsure-to-trust- feeling. He watched for someone to approach, no weapon drawn. Then again, he did have his short blade at his side...
His cold blue eye seemed to look past everything, blind to the world the other eye could see. One gift he had was, he could see the chakra with the blinded eye if he was calm.

Kumori walked through Konoha, making his way away from the ramen shop. He found it weird to be a regular there since he was a Kiri nin. Oh well, they didn't mind. And neither did he. As he walked, he decided to pass by the lake to look at the waters. And maybe use a jutsu or two for the heck of it. As he did, he saw someone there already. He stopped and looked at him, wondering what he was doing. Kumori was bored enough as it was, so he decided to go make conversation. After all, he was headed to the water anyway. Might as well greet the locals.
He adjusted his headband, to make sure the guy saw him as a Kiri nin and not a Missing nin. When Kumori got closer, the guy spoke out, telling him to stop hiding. Was he paranoid or something. "Who's hiding?" Kumori answered, walking slowly closer. "I just got here." He smiled at the man, showing a friendly attitude and hoping he wouldn't have to fight. "Hello local. I'm Kumori."

Kitru felt very tense, hearing a male voice. Great. Just what he needed. He looked at the nin, and saw the headband. "Ohayo. Are you here to fish? They won't be biting today." He looked at the water, his pale flesh hard against his black clothing. It made him seem a bit... well, not scary. More like he wasn't really used to people. He watched the newcomer. "Name's Yuuhi. Kitru Yuuhi. Nice to meet you;" He watched him, a single gold eye studying the person instantly. He seemed friend;y, but Kosi was pretty paranoid sometimes. He wasn't very comfortable with males, an usually avoided it. Now, he had two choices. Stay here and talk, or disappear.
'I can't run from the past... Might as well try to face it slowly.' He bit his lip, and then looked at the water. Some fish were still biting at the bread, enjoying the free meal without the chance of being caught.

"Not really," Kumori answered, responding to the fishing question. "Just passing by for a bit before heading home." Kumori got on his knees and watched the fish swim about. He could easily just nab one and leave. But that would be rude. He noticed the bread crumbs in the water and figured this guy might have put them there. Looking up at him, Kumori smiled. "Nice to meet ya, Yuuhi." Kumori cupped his hands and dipped it into the water, pulling out a hand full. He then moved his hands around with each other as if he was cleaning them. "So do you like fish?" Kumori asked, trying to make small talk with what little time he had. "I think they're tasty. How bout you?"

Kosi smiled sadly at the guy at his comment about fish being tasty. "I, uh, don't eat meat." He smiled then watched a few fish scatter when Kumori put his hands in the water. "Are you a Jounin?" He asked. Kitru himself was a Chuunin, but he was planning on passing to Jounin. He hoped so, at least. Looking at the large fish, he saw one go under the dock and start nibbling at the larger chunks of bread. "These are my friends. They listen when others are too busy too." He looked at the new guy, then focused back to the water. Most people started at him because of his albinism. The scars over his blue eye were always making people turn away, but it seemed to be easing up lately. Tenten-chan sure didn't mind, and Kitru wasn't disabled in any form.

"Ah," Kumori said. He felt slightly embarrass for saying that now. He looked to the water and scratched his head. "No, I is a Chuunin," he answered, turning back to the guy and speaking his horrid grammar again. "I is gonna be a Jounin soon though, so I'm happy." After the fish scattered, a large one came to eat the bread that remained. Good thing Kumori ate before coming here. Otherwise that one would be lunch. "That's cool I guess," he said. "I don't have many friends. But I don't mind. I like solitude for the most part. But, I tend to be a bit annoying for the way I make small talk. So I is sorry if I'm annoying you at all." Smiling at the guy, he noticed the scars in his really white skin. Kumori then felt his face at where the whisker-looking marks were. It was hard being the Nibi at times.

Kitru nodded slowly. "I don't get bothered by much. If someone pisses me off, I usually try to walk away before I fight." He looked at him, the whiskers on the males face... "Isn't the Neko almost always in a female?" He asked his question casually, not like it was a big deal. Then again, little bothered a nin who had a horrible past. Most demons had bad lives... Kitru guessed, even though the Nekomata had a dangerous power: bringing back the dead, to dance as they wished.
"Sorry if it's too sudden... I'm more perceptive than most think, since they think I'm a good-for-nothing fuck up." He shrugged lightly, confident in himself.

Kumori scratched his face a little, nervously, not exactly knowing how to answer that. "Yeah," he said slowly. "I think it was in a female before I got it." He shrugged, not really caring about whether it should be in a girl or guy. Come to think of it, he wondered if it was because of the Nibi that he liked fish so much. He's met a lot of people ad not a lot of them like fish as much as he did. Good thing Kiri was full of them. Otherwise he'd have to take some from this water. "Yeah, it's 'kay," Kumori said after the guy apologized. "I get judged a lot. But it's not much of a problem. Getting judged points out some of my flaws. I'd just work them out and try to make it better." Getting off his knees, he plopped down on his rear end and sighed, facing to look at the sun.

He smiled warmly at the Nibi's holder. "Yeah... I get funny looks because of my skin. A had one person ask if I was born in the Snow village." He laughed softly at the memory, then looked at the new friend he had just made. "You like fish a lot, don't you? I'm not a fan of it, unless you cook it with Ramen. I get meat, but it's not much. My old sensei always told me I needed more meat in my diet, so I started eating the shrimp off the top of my ramen." He smiled, hoping to change to mood to a bit lighter tone. He didn't know what else to say, really, but felt like he needed to let this guy know he wasn't a jerk. Kitru really wasn't a bad guy... just very shy and not very open.

Kumori chuckled when he told his short story. He might have asked that as well, if it hadn't been for meeting him here. He then gasped as the guy started talking about fish and ramen. "Yes!" he joyfully shouted. "I always get fish with ramen. Shrimp, salmon, yellow tail. You name it. Except trout. Doesn't taste right if not cook correctly. Sometimes, I cut the fish up and put it in the ramen. But I mostly have the whole fish as a side." A blush appeared as he smiled and went on and on. "Sorry, am I sounding weird?" He put his hand over his mouth to hut himself up. Sometimes, he swore he sounded like a motorboat. Never stopping. He even found it annoying and it was himself. He looked down from embarrassment and groaned a little.
