Lately Kari had found himself doing more and more meaningless missions here and there. He enjoyed the idea that he was moving up in his village, being trusted with tasks even though he was without a team. But it was all trivial, and he was beginning to tire of it. He often was returning to the Hokage in order to get more missions, just to be disappointed with the idea that he had more mail to deliver, or that he had to help someone find their cat.
He found it degrading that he had managed to graduate at the top of his class, that he was able to convince the Hokage to give him missions, even though he was without a team. And yet, he was still given tasks that took almost no effort for him to complete.
Although that was all about to change. He had received a surprise when he had found he was to have a higher ranked mission. Let alone that the mission was directly assigned to Kari. He was to deliver a message to the Kazekage, from the Hokage.
Kari had already set off on his mission, making his way from the village and into the forest. He found it rather odd that he was to deliver a message from one Kage to another, after all he thought that something like this would be assigned to a higher ranking ninja. None the less he enjoyed the honor, after all it proved to him that finally he was being trusted with something. And that the village had recognized his ability.
After his second day of travel he had managed to make his way to the edge of Hi no Kuni. He stood on the edge of the trees where the grass met the sand. He looked out into the vast openness of the desert and smiled softly before he started to walk onward.
His bag was securely over his back, the scroll he was to deliver was tucked safely inside. He was dressed in his usual attire, his elongated sleeves that covered up his arms. His headband was hanging loosely around his neck, letting it hang to the bottom of his collarbone.
Over his travel he had been getting a sort of nagging feeling that something wasn't right. He knew it was just paranoia that he was on his first big assignment, but he still couldn't shake the feeling. It was as if there was something wrong completely with the mission. He knew that there was no way that a genin with skill would be allowed to take on a mission like this, let alone if it was assigned to him. But none the less he trusted it.
His feet slowly stepped through the sand as he made his way toward the endless sea of dunes and sand in front of him, still unable to shake the feeling that something was wrong.

As kari rounded the next dune he sees a hooded figure with a metal pole shoved deeply into the sand. He would wait for a few moments before lifting the pole and moving to an area a couple of feet away from the previous one for whatever reason he was there. The figure made his was in a circle performing his task in a total of seven spots. He was a weird sight to see in the desert. He wore dark heavy cargo pants and a grey and white hoodie. Upon finishing his circle of seven, he laid the pole in the sand and pulled back the hood on his hoodie. His medium blue hair sweat matted to his face, he wiped it to the side and pulled the canteen off his side and took a large drink from it.
He pulled his survival pack to him and sat on it. His mission was simple, Survey of the area and see what the resources underneath the sand are. Missions like this are meant to be kept secret due to how frowned upon they are. It never looks good when a ninja of another country is sent to look at the resources of another country without that countries permission. (Oh Teishu, the missions you find yourself doing) He thought to himself.

Kari was beginning to tire of the constant color of the sand. It was just bland and boring to him. He hardly even knew about the country, let alone the kazekage whom he was supposed to deliver the message too. The only real information he knew about the country was told to him by his clan elder, after all he had originally been from the Sand country. But regardless of the sand or even the wind was the overbearing heat that was driving Kari crazy. Back in the leaf country he would waltz around in his usual attire, with his elongated sleeves and feel fine. But here was another story, he almost even felt like rolling up his sleeve.
He had made his way into the desert enough that the line of trees behind him had all but disappeared in the distance. Although at this time he happened to stumble across a man in the distance. Kari stopped for a moment and watched as he lifted up his pole, then walked a little ways away. Needless to say it was rather odd and confusing, after all who would want to spend their time here in the middle of these arid badlands. Kari watched as he continued this little dance several more times, before finally settling down for what seemed to be for good.
Kari however wished to let this mission go off without a hitch, after all his last one wound up with him injuring a leaf shinobi and being in too much pain to make it back to the village on his own. However he did have to go past the man in order to continue on his mission. Kari started to bite his nails in frustration, not wanting to pass the man and risk conflict, but at the same time he didn't want to continue standing here in the sun and wasting time.
So he made up his mind and started to walk toward the blue haired man, hoping that nothing would happen.

Teishu took his moment with gusto, it was important to keep hydration up in this environment. Especially with the load he carried on him at all times. He wiped another round of sweat from his brow and took another small sip of water to preserve his water supply. He stood and arced his back letting loose three sets of cracks relieving the tension in his back while rotating his head to uncreak his neck. He pulled the pocket watch out of his pocket and checked how long it had been. "Five minutes of so." He said picking the pole back up. "Back to work." He sighed and walked to the area where the first hole was to return the pole back into the hole.
On his way to the hole, pipe resting on his shoulder, he took his view in the direction of the land of fire. What was this that was coming his way? A person strangely walking through the desert. He figured this was not something to worry about but his mission was on the other side of the legality pillow. He flipped the pole around which caused it to resonate revealing that it was a pipe. He gripped it like a lance and threw it towards the person coming. It wouldn't hit them but it would pierce the sand in front of him. When the pipe stuck he called out. "State your business!"

Kari continued to walk slowly forward, his eyes locked on to the other man. Just in case he was to make a move, Kari wanted to see it. Although he saw the man get up again and start walking. He wondered what he was doing or if he was going to leave the area, but for now he seemed like he hadn't noticed him.
The man had returned to the site of his first hole, although it was strange enough to see this kind of sight, the man had to repeat himself. That is when Kari noticed the man looking toward him, he grumbled but continued to walk. Although he was stopped rather abruptly by a pole flying into the sand in front of him. "I am a leaf ninja. Why does it matter?" He grumbled rather rudely, after all he really wasn't the most enthusiastic person.

Teishu did not know why this random leaf ninja was here. He dug his heel into the sand and ants began crawling their way down into the sand and making their way towards Kari all hidden from view either behind his legs or under the sand. If anything were to go off he would be prepared for it. "What is your business here?" He called to him, trying to get information out of him without starting any unneeded altercations with him. As mentioned before, his mission was frowned upon being the alliance between sand, grass, and leaf. He needed to make sure Kari didn't find out grass was trying to siphon off small bits of resources to benefit themselves over anyone else.

Kari looked down at the pole in front of him and he grumbled rather unhappily. He was hoping to avoid conflict with the other man, but at this point it seemed as if it might be impossible. He glanced up at the other man only to hear him yelling the same thing he had yelled just before. He really wasn't sure what the man was doing here in the first place. Sure he could just shout out that he was from the leaf and he was delivering a message, but it seemed like a rather dull idea. Although at the same time he didn't want to fight with the other man. "I'm on my way to Sunagakure..."

(On your way to Suna) He thought to himself. That could be bad. If he gets to the sand and mentions a random ninja doing stuff out in the desert that could pose a problem. Would he have to kill and hide his body? If he went in for the attack killing him was the only option. His clan was a village secret. No one outside the Grass village knew of the Ari clan. It was around that thought that a black liquid began seeping out of the holes he made. (Dammit!) He thought to himself. "It wasn't supposed to surface so soon." He said after it geysered up in the air nearly throwing him off his feet. It caused the sand to begin sinking in. Teishu swore loudly and began jumping back as the sink hole began to expand.
