Testing, One...Two...(Open)

Junsuni tried again. And again. and yet again, but still, this prototype just won't do. The Iron Giant project was coming along slower then planned...much slower. His father had only don the metal head, not very much help because, well, it was just a helmet, it hadn't been rigged yet. Junsuni had been trying to create a shuriken launcher for it's slit-like moth, but was having no luck. he tried adjusting the spring, the trigger, and even opening the slit a little bit. But alas, they all failed. {How am I supposed to do this? Did he leave this here for me just to get confused?} He began to get frustrated, and tried the trigger one more time. He tugged on the lone chakra thread running from his left ring finger to the trigger, and...it fired a shuriken that made a loud CLANG! against the rock wall of the stadium-like training ground of Sunagakure.

True, it was only one shuriken, and it was designed to fire five at a time, but hey, it was a start. Junsuni was proud of himself, and fired it three more times, then stood up and retrieved the shuriken. {I wonder...if I loosen the spring and add more triggers inside the launcher itself, It may fire more at a time.} He walked back to the small table he had set up to test the head with, and unscrewed the launcher from the inside of the head. He sat on the bench behind it and adjusted some things, added somethings, and replenished the amount of shuriken with the ones he had obtained. {There!} He replaced it back into the metal head and tried again. This time, it fired three shuriken at once.{YES!}

He tinkered with it a bit more, and replaced it once again. But it only fired three at a time, just like before. {How am I supposed to do this? I did everything I know how to do, and even used dad's workbook, but still, I can't get it to fire more then three...} It was hot, even for the time of day, around 11:00. His mother went out shopping and he got bored sitting in the workshop and thought it would be a good idea to get some fresh air and practice outside. And it had been an hour, of nothing but modifications, thirty minutes to get it to fire, twenty to fiddle with it, and another ten to fire three shuriken. This made him finally realize that what he had forced himself into was gonna take more then a few months to do...just to do the head launcher took him the entire week, plus he wasn't done yet, he still had the rest of the body to do, not to mention weapons, missions, and private life...but it was fun. So he pushed on.

But the hours based by slowly. He had failed to get it to fire more then three times in two hours, and decided it was a good time for a lunch break at 1:00. As he ate the small lunch he had packed, he watched some of the other ninja train and found amusement there. He even showed some small academy student how the head worked when he asked. When he was done, he thought it was time for some REAL training. He swung his arm out and an extender pushed a scroll into his hand. He unraveled it just a bit, and formed a hand seal. The scroll glowed a blue color, and then in a sudden puff of smoke, it was gone, and a puppet was leaning on Junsuni's back, which was arched as he crouched. With a quick flip of his wrist, the puppet flew off and landed about five feet away from him.
