She managed to swallow the half-chewed noodles without dying, punching her chest with her fist. Even after that she picked up her chopsticks and began eating again. She watched Naruto scratch his head, slurping nosily as she waited for him to reply.
"From the Cloud?" Satoshi asked, making sure to gulp down the noodles before speaking. "It didn't seem like just 'a few scrabbles' to me. You were covered with dirt from head to toe!"
She finally finished the bowl of ramen and set it down on the wooden counter. "Hokage, huh? You think you have what it takes to be the leader of our village?" she teased, a small smirk forming on her face. A light went off in her head and she suddenly got an idea.
"I haven't been on a mission for a while, and I have nothing else to do today. Why don't we train one-on-one?"

The blonde smirked. "Hehe...well...stuff like these missions. It's just getting me prepared for the future ya know. I'll take broken bones, cuts, and gettin dirty if it means I'm that much closer to my goal, my destiny.-dattebayo"
He tugged at the collar of his jacket a bit and breathed deeply.
He turned his head to Satoshi and gave a quick serious look.
"I know I have what it takes. My own father was the Hokage. I only found that out recently....and still I strive to work for my position to Hokage. I want to fulfill his legacy of Yondaime Hokage..."
He let a smile play on his lips and he changed his emotion.
"Heh, training eh? I could always use some extra training along the side. Sure I'll train with you." He smiled and thought for a moment.
"OH! But first I gotta check with Lady Tsunade, make sure I don't have any missions on standby ya know? I'll be sure to get back to you on when I can get a chance to train!" He stood up to leave, but stopped with a hand on the counter.
"Oh yeah..." He formed a Tora seal and a veil of leaves began to consume him. His body disappeared and his voice left in a trail.
Don't die on me when I'm gone....

"Your 'destiny,' you called it?" Satoshi joked again, hearing his words. She put her hands behind her head and looked at his face full of smirk. She smiled slightly at the sight of his hope and determination to reach his goal.
She saw his face darken and grow serious, and she began to listen intently. "Wow...," she said simply, thinking to herself for a moment.
"That's great!" Satoshi shouted suddenly, her face lit up with a childish grin. "You have a dream that you're working hard for, and you don't let anything stand in your way. That's all you need!" She twirled, stretching her arms out, and then turned back to face him.
"Okay, so let's train in the-" she stopped talking as Naruto suddenly explained his situation.
"What?!" she demanded, her expression turning sour. "Fine, alright, alright," she replied stubbornly. "But you better come back soon!"
Satoshi watched the gust of leaves encircle the blonde and quickly waved at him. She thought she heard something and tilted her head to the side, as if it would enhance her hearing. She sighed and glanced at the spot where Naruto had been.
"Looks like I'm not going to see him for a while..." she mumbled to herself, remembering her own plans to leave the village. After today, she was supposed to travel beyond the gates for more advanced training on her own. She had even informed Lady Tsunade about her leaving a week ago.
Satoshi quickly returned to her old self and headed towards her house to pack. She halted mid-step and looked up at the Hokage Mountain towering before her.
"Naruto!" she shouted as loud as she could, her naive side kicking in. The villagers passing by paused and stared oddly at her. "When I come back from my journey, you better be Hokage!"
'Ay, I make it sound like I won't be returning for ten years!' she thought silently, continuing her walk and ignoring the glances people gave her. 'But then again...'
"It wouldn't take him that long anyway."

{Few months later? xDDD}
Satoshi looked down at the numerous treetops from the sky. Her eyes were spinning from all the specks of green below her. When was this forest going to end? She made a discontent face and moved her wings up and down, flying at a faster pace. Everything looked the same from above; all she saw was trees and more trees!
"Are you sure we're not lost?" Suko asked, following alongside her. His stubby blue owl wings were easily able to keep up with Satoshi. "We ARE lost, aren't we!" he chirped.
"NO! Just follow me!" She was about to give up and try a new direction when she caught sight of the Leaf Village's gates up ahead.
She put on a sudden burst of speed and made a beeline for it, unable to contain her excitement. The overstuffed messenger bag around her neck and shoulder didn't slow her down at all. She was at a high enough elevation to speed over the tall gates, although her scarf almost caught on.
"Thanks for the company, Suko. You can go now, since you've been saying this was 'a waste of time.'" Satoshi said, shooing the owl away with her hand. He glared at her and opened his beak to say something, but thought twice and flew off in the opposite direction.
It took her a few minutes to get to the Hokage's office, her luggage still hanging off her shoulder. Satoshi knocked on the door twice.
"Lady Tsunade! It's me, Satoshi! I'm back!" she shouted through the door, waiting for permission to enter.

He had been sitting at the desk...turned around and staring out the window...watching the village below.
So many people...and their existence is held in my very hands...
Clad in a pair of orange sweatpants, orange and black sweatshirt, and an orange and black cloak, the teen was many years mature from his days as a genin. His face was full of youth, but a seriousness in his eyes that could tell you that the boy had seen many deaths. Or caused them...
A series of knocks rang off from the door to his office. His ear perked and he opened his mouth to speak.
"You may enter!" He sounded off those words and went back to watching the people below.

She tilted her head at the sound of the Hokage's voice. 'Lady Tsunade's voice sure got deeper...' she pondered, grasping the handle and pushing the door open. She quickly stepped in and plopped her bag down on the floor.
"Lady Tsunade!" Satoshi started, her voice still loud and perky. She wasn't looking her best at the moment. Dirt marks were on her once white shirt and dark shorts. Her usual messy black hair was messier than ever; it was sticking up everywhere because of the wind currents from her flight. There were even a few leaves nested between the strands of her hair.
Her large grin took over her face as she continued to talk. "I wanted to tell you that I just returned from training!" She walked over to the desk, then inched closer to the chair. A few leaves dropped from her head.
"But I'm not tired! I'm still ready for more missions and stuff-"
She immediately shut her mouth and clamped down on her tongue. Satoshi stared intently at the person in the chair, realizing it wasn't Lady Tsunade. The person wasn't even a lady! A man with spiky blonde hair, dressed in nothing but orange and black...
"Naruto?" she asked curiously, slightly recognizing his features. Her eyes brightened as she self-confirmed his presence. "Hey, Naruto! It's me!" Her voice reached an all time high as she returned to her giddy-self. She slapped him on the back jokingly, glad to see him.
"Hey, you wouldn't happen to know where Lady Tsunade is, would you?" Satoshi asked quickly. "I have to talk to her..." her voice trailed off. "...wait, why are you in her office anyway? And why are you sitting in her chair?"

A wide grin formed on his face. He turned in his chair to fully face the girl.
"Satoshi-chan...?" Naruto fingered the desk slightly, fumbling at a few scrambled papers and ramen cups. "Well I sure as hell wasn't expecting this..."
He caught himself midsentence. "Uh uh...not that I'm not glad to see you or anything! Heheh!" He itched his head playfully and tried to hide the blushing on his cheeks from embarrassment.
Phew that was close...
"Lady...Tsunade?" His eyes grew a bit cold from hearing the name. He shuddered a bit from the thought. "I...do not know where she is...from what I know, she is...dead..."
He lifted an orange and black Hokage hat from the back of his desk, similar to the Old Lady's hat, just different in colors. He carefully placed it on his head and let a smile pull over his cold look.
"...That's Yondaime to you, Satoshi-chan."

"It's been such a long time!" Satoshi exclaimed, counting off the days in her head. "Well, not really, just a couple of months...but still. It's nice to see your face again!" She expected another grin from him but slightly frowned when she saw his expression grow cold.
"What?!" she shouted, slamming her hand down on the desk. Her eyes were wide, and the spirit in her tone was gone. "She's...Lady Tsunade's...d-dead?" Her voice was a low whisper that was barely audible.
She definitely wasn't in the group of people that were considered close to Tsunade. She rarely met up with her as well, only seeing Tsunade's face to report for missions every so often. But the information still surprised her, although not as much as she thought it would. She looked down, feeling a stinging behind her eyes, but quickly blinked it away. The news was shocking, but it didn't hit her hard. After a few seconds she looked back up, appearing completely fine.
"I-I had no idea..." she mumbled, still stuttering a bit. Satoshi closed her eyes and breathed in, steadily calming down.
She managed a small smile when she saw the empty cups of ramen cluttered around the papers on the desk. He hadn't really changed, but he did seem more down than what she remembered him to be. Satoshi watched as he put on a familiar looking hat and smiled at her.
"You're...what? Really?! NO WAY!"
The gloomy feeling was immediately pushed away and replaced with an excited one. In a second she had her arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders and neck.
"Haha, this is awesome! I knew you could do it!"

He blushed again as Satoshi wrapped her arms around his shoulders and neck. He tried to contain himself in the process, he half wanted to fidget, but the other half...the adult half, had no clue why he was blushing in the first place.
"Haha, this is awesome! I knew you could do it!"
He laughed a bit. "Hehe, thanks! Ya know, I think you were one of the reasons I actually made it here. When you left, I was seriously out of it. I trained with Sakura-chan, and the Old Lady. I learned more and more. And at one point, I began teaching Sakura-chan. I decided to grow more powerful, I had you and some of my past to inspire me." He smiled again.
"After everything I've gone through....I finally have something to show for it. I can control this damn...-" He stopped midsentence.
She doesn't know....does she?
He lowered his head. He had kept his demon a secret from his friends for years...and he still didn't quite know why...
I guess I didn't want them to hate me...Satoshi wouldn't hate me would she?
He turned to look at Satoshi. "Satoshi-chan...would you hate me if I told you a terrible secret?"

She was glad he was back to his normal self again, smiling and laughing. She realized she was making him slightly uncomfortable when she saw a red blush form on his cheeks. She released him from her hug and grinned sheepishly.
"My bad," Satoshi said quickly, along with a slight cough. "This is great!" she repeated with enthusiasm, almost as if she was the one that had become Hokage.
"I was one of the reasons? I was one of the people that inspired you?" she asked sarcastically, holding her chin up high in the air. "That's nice to hear!"
"Hm? What's wrong now?" Satoshi wondered as Naruto became quiet once again. She raised her eyebrows at the sound of his voice and at his peculiar question. "A terrible secret?" Her expression softened when she saw the worry on his face.
"Don't worry, I won't hate you." she told him assuringly. "So tell me, what's so terrible?"
