Keiko walked quietly into her former home, her slashed headband tied around her waist as always. The dark night had fallen on the town, leaving the only light the moon and the small lantern's lite by the owners of the homes and restaurants. It wasn't too late for someone to be out, the night had fallen only a few hours before. A lot of people retreated into their homes for sleep, needing to awake for their missions and training in the early morning.
She thought about the mission bestowed upon her, the one she was carrying out now. Her brown eyes danced from house to house as she neared her 'home'. She watched as a fellow chuunin ran up beside her, wanting to say hello. After all these years, now they really picked the wrong night to speak to her, but it only made her job easier. "I was coming to look for you," She spoke lightly, catching his attention easily, she was the part of the Aina clan, and being well known helped in situations like the present.
"My father said he needed a word." She explained and he seemed too eager, making her grimace at how he seemed to get a faster walk. He hadn't even noticed her slashed headband which made her mouth turn up at the corners, forming a smirk. The large white house came into view and she ushered the chuunin along and through her door. Keiko's hands found their ways to touch the tips of her blade's, exciting her in a way that somewhat frightened her.
As she guessed her father soon came around the corner, his face feel serious as he noticed Keiko and the chuunin beside her. His eyes flickered to her headband and the slash made his eyes widen somewhat, only noticeable to her for she had known him all her life. As his hands went to his back pocket, no doubt to pull our kunai, she had pulled out her kama's, hooking the now frightened chuunin around the neck with the wooden part and pulling him into her. The cold blade pressed to his throat, drawing a small line of blood that trickled down his collarbone.
The boy stood froze, knowing nothing he did would have helped. "Shocked?" She questioned her father, who now stood with two kunai in each hand, his eyes dancing between Keiko's eyes and the blade with redden tips, trying to think of something. "Why? Why would you turn on your own village?" His question ringed throughout the house. "Because, I was always the burden. And now, I find that I could be a serious threat." She paused raising an eyebrow. "Aren't you proud?" She smirked.
He moved forward, causing the blade to push father into the chuunin's neck, making him cry out. Once again, her father froze. She wanted to do this quickly, leaving this behind as quick as she could run. "I just thought you should know, I have a new teacher." Keiko's voice sounded cold and harsh as she spoke now, teasing and mocking completely gone. "You might want to watch your back. Itachi Uchiha will be training me." And with that, the kama was pulled back, letting the lifeless form slump to the ground as she sprung out the door she left open.
Her feet jumped to the roof and into the trees that were near, jumping gracefully from tree to tree. The only thing left behind her now, was an angry scream that left her father's throat.
