Global Rules

Rule One - Do not post pornographic images of any sort. These include nudes, shotacon, lollicon, and anything depicting a sexual situation.

Rule Two - No flaming other members of this site. Insulting or abusing another member anywhere on this site will not be tolerated. If this happens to you, please be sure to PM a staff member who will be there to assist you. You may, however, insult someone’s character while playing as your own character, as long as it is purely in character of you.

Rule Three - Swearing is permitted, to an extent. Make your posts intellgent not irate.

Rule Four - Please don’t edit the size of your signature. We also don’t like lots of text, large images, or pornographic images. Of course, we encourage you to have a fancy signature, but please keep it under500x400 pixels. Otherwise, the staff will have to remove your signature. If this occurs multiple times, you will receive warnings and finally a ban. So please keep it small.

Rule Five - Please don’t double post. You can only do this is you are in a thread by yourself, or it has been awhile since you last posted in a thread. There’s a ‘Modify Post’ button for a reason!

Rule Six - For every character you create you must create a separate account. Please adjust your display name to your character name.

Rule Seven - Chat speak is a no-no. We aren’t too forceful about this rule, but please try to use it occasionally, not every minute. So don’t go around saying ‘LOLBRBAFK’, as some of us won’t understand.

Rule Eight - Along with no chat speak; it’d be awesome if you could use modern English. Follow all grammar and syntax rules please. We aren’t too stern about this rule; just make sure you’re not slaughtering our language. Most computers come with spell check, so you can use it!

Rule Nine - Please don’t report bad staff members. If you don’t like someone a staff member does, then please post a request in the suggestions forum. You will not be tolerated if you are rude, threaten, or bias yourself against the administration. If you cannot back yourself up in this accusation, you will have alienated yourself. Penalties for these will be much worse than normal. So please stay humble and kind when accusing the administration.

Rule Ten - Accusing other members of the site will also be treated seriously. If you accuse a fellow member, please be prepared to back it up with evidence or you will get in trouble yourself.

Rule Eleven - No complaining if we suddenly decide to change the rules. We’ll update you when it happens, but don’t get mad please.

Role Playing Rules

~ Role Playing Style ~ We don’t require much for your style, just a simple request. This would be that members try to be as clear as possible in their posts. Please don’t repeat things multiple times or make things more confusing then they need to be.

~ Please Know Who We Are ~ Please make sure you know what Naruto is before role playing here. We don’t want characters that don’t know what they are doing. If you want more information on the series, you can talk to everyone else here, or research it online ( www.naruto.com , www.leafninja.com ).

~ Creations ~ Once you join, please create your character. Of course, you should introduce yourself first. Use the Profile Template and post it in Bring Them To Life, where a member of staff will approve them. We’re pretty quick on approving; so don’t bother us to hurry. Make your character the best it can be! One Character Per Account.

~ Items ~ We do not have health points, or a set amount of weapons, scrolls, or food. Anything else like this has no limit. You can throw unlimited weapons if you want, really. Just don’t overdo it. Be reasonable!

~ Threads ~ If, after a few days, someone hasn’t posted in a group thread, you may skip this person, who can then post in the next time around. If you will be gone, make sure everyone knows to skip you. In a two person thread, if you haven’t responded within ~48 hours without notice, then the other person may post again and you will take damage if they attacked.

~ God Modding ~ We do not allow god modding at all. God modding includes dodging every attack without taking damage, using a move/weapon and making it hit, or killing other characters without permission. If you don’t mean to god mod you will get a warning, but multiple times will get you suspended from roleplaying.

~ Minimum Damage ~ Minimum damage is quite hard to define, especially in Naruto. Characters never seem to get hurt, so we have come up with a rule of thumb for damage: if your character gets hit, they lose something. Whether it’s a limb function, piece of armor, or whatever. If the attack hits, you will lose this for the rest of the fight. It doesn’t have to be something big, but just lose something each time. You can even discuss it with your opponent and choose the damage ratio yourselves.

~ Post Length ~ The minimum post length here at Akatsuki Rising is 100 words. We do encourage you to do more, and for your convenience a word counter will be present.

~ Post Order ~ In a thread with more than two people, be sure to have a posting order! This keeps the posting even and doesn’t exclude someone from the battle. If two of you are on, please don’t post back and forth without the others!
