They had just about left the border of the Land of Water. They had reached the coast, as an ever expanding ocean of water would be the perfect place to train. Suraisu sat on a rock, and set his sword next to him, thinking of what technique to train the boy. The water clone jutsu? Or maybe he should start out smaller, maybe with Kirigakure no Jutsu...

He called to Suraisu. "Where are we going anyway?" He was deeply interested on when they would start on making him stronger. Damn Sam followed Souzou rolling on his side behind him. "Oh fish brains this is boring! I hate walking, let's make a mud pie or break a window. I love them breaking noises." Souzou stuck his tongue out at him. |

"Right here." He said softly. He decided what technique to teach the kid first. "How's your chakra control? Can you walk up trees and walk on water yet?" If not, he would have to show the kid. Having a tailed beast and that chakra presence should make both rather easy for him. He looked onwards, waiting for an answer.

Souzou looked at him. "Really? On water? Up trees?" He hadn't even been out of the academy a month. "How do you walk on water?" He asked him. "Oh fish brains like this." Sam ran out into the water and swam out and without any resistance rose to the top of the water and walked along it. "And look at this," He crossed his arms and shifted on the surface of the water only standing under it with his head pointed to the ocean floor. "And whats more," Sam swept his feet out from under him and fell into the sky up towards the clouds screaming "I can flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" In a high pitched voice as he rose up.
Souzou looked back at his new master. "I would like to learn how to walk on water like Sam can. Like, like, like how he flipped upside down and walked on the surface but upside down." He went on and jabbered on for a while.

Suraisu looked at Souzou intently. "First you must learn to walk up trees. To do this, you must concentrate your chakra to the bottom of your feet. Get a running start, and after you can run to the top, then walk. Like this." Suraisu sent his chakra to his feet and began to walk up the tree without any difficulty.

Souzou looked in awe as Suraisu scaled the tree. He ran to the tree and made the attempt to imitate his master by focusing chakra in his feet and running up the tree. This attempt was met with failure as his feet lost traction with the tree and he came crashing down on Sam who appeared mysteriously beneath him and groaned as Souzou crashed down on him. They both let out a simultaneous, "Ow that hurt!"

Suraisu looked to Souzou. "Send all of your chakra to your feet before you attempt it. It took me a few tries before I could even run up it. Longer just to walk. Eventually you will be able to leap off a tree and land upside down like it was second nature. Like you were breathing. Try again." He said as he took a seat at the highest branch, enjoying the cool breeze. If he could teach this kid to control his chakra he would be a monster.

Souzou got up and took a few steps back. He ran at the tree making the attempt to focus chakra in his feet. He places a foot on the tree and tried moving up it but the chakra wasnt enough and he came crashing down again. He got to his feet once more and moved back while rubbing the sore spot on his butt and murmuring curses at the tree. He turned and began running again at the tree. This time around his first step stuck but his second was to much and it cracked the bark under his step and he was pushed off the tree only to land back down on the ground. He got up and began to throw a small fit over not being able to make it up the tree sputtering more curses under his breath.
Sam pinch him on his neck and floated away to the tree. He reached back and lifted his behind up in the air and began smacking it in Souzou's direction in a mocking gesture. "Haha fish brains you fall harder than the rocks in that Suraisu's head." He began laughing and slowly floated up the tree. Souzou wiped the single tear from his eye and began chasing Sam yelling at him to shut up. It wasn't his intention to climb the tree but by the time he realized Damn Sam had stopped floating up any higher Souzou was currently standing on the second tier of branches. He looked down, and at the realization of what he did, began jumping up and down on the branch laughing at his success.

Suraisu smiled lightly at the boy. 'He did it without even realizing it....' He jumped down off of the tree, his knees bending slightly to lessen the impact of his fall. He straightened up, and beckoned to the boy. "Come down here and try that again. Once you can do it easily, we will move onto water walking." The boy advanced fast. It took Suraisu days to master tree climbing, and even longer for water walking. Then again, he didn't have a bijuu backing him. He glanced over at his sword, looking at it as the sun reflected light off of it. He sat down on the nearest rock and waited for Souzou to try again.
