Maru stood up, trying to catch his breath, but it was a feat proving to be impossible. He turned to the forest and staggered about, swearing as he couldn't keep himself on a straight line, much less jump through the forest. He kneeled down again and said, "You better just be on your way, because its possible I might be attacked by high level ninja and I cant protect you like this," He swore again

Yuina moved her arm over to help her companion stand, a feat she didn't know if he could do. Biting her lip, she watched his stagger around as he failed at standing by himself. "But I don't want to leave you. You might get hurt." she told the man innocently. She knelt down next to him, her hands wrapped around her waist. If they were to get attacked again, Yuina would just protect the other. Standing up, she reached her hand down, "C'mon! I'll help you back." she smiled and waited, hoping that he knew the way to Konoha.

Maru shook his head to try and clear it, saying, "Okay, and then we can take shelter together there," He was glad that he was so small, most people mistook him for a child playing ninja, but if he fell maybe she could catch him. He pointed in a seemingly random direction and said, "Its that way." and began at a brisk walk, trying to work it out of his system

Yuina smiled at the man and jumped up happily, "Okay. I mean, I don't even know where I'm going. I got lost." she randomly added. Of course the small girl would be willing to help him in any way she could, especially because of whatever thing the other ninja used on him. She'd feel bad if he got hurt just because of her.
Nodding her head, she ran after him as he began his walk in a random direction, "All right. But are you okay?" she asked. He still seemed slightly strange from the mist earlier, and she still didn't know what it was.

He turned his head slightly, nodding, "Yeah, he's a missing nin from the sound village, and he specializes in making his opponents intoxicated. I'm just a little drunk." He said embarrassedly. He had tried to stop Tane, but he couldn't even hold a candle to the man's abilities, even when he was always drunk. Maru was angry with himself, and he knew a lot of it was just the alcohol, but he couldn't help it. He was strong, but he couldn't even make the drunk blink. He smashed his hand into a tree as he walked by it and wished he could have done more.

Yuina listened, not really paying much attention. Tilting her head as she looked forward, she asked, "So... He tried to give me alcohol, right?" While the small girl didn't know much about adult drinks, she knew alcohol wasn't good at all. It was something she occasionally had to treat when she worked at the hospital.
As if she was reading his mine, Yuina smiled, "It's not your fault. Any strong ninja couldn't have taken him on their own." she paused and looked at him, "Even a Kage would have issues fighting him." Flinching as he hit the tree, Yuina reached over and grabbed his fist, checking it for injuries.

Maru smiled and pulled his fist away, saying, "I've dealt harder hits than that to more solid opponents," He patted the tree awkwardly, swaying slightly. "I'll live." He thought back to what Tane had been offering her and realized that maybe he had been offering her alcohol. He turned and looked at her, saying, "Well, he might have been trying to give you some, but don't worry, he was just trying to share. Everything that I've heard and read about him says that he is a really friendly guy and enjoys sharing, and he rarely ever starts a fight, and there has never been a report about him ever trying to...kidnap and have his way with anyone," He blushed slightly under his mask, "Something about his late wife. He's a fairly famous Missing Ninja and all of the Special Ops have to learn a lot about him, due to the fact that he could open a lot of secrets for us." He continued ahead, hiccuping slightly as he walked.

Yuina watched sadly as the other put his hand away, still wanting to make sure it wasn't hurt. "All right..." she said quietly, watching him pat the tree. Smiling, she looked back at him, "If you're sure..." Biting her lip, she walked on, listening to the other speak. It was creepy to think about, a stranger offering her alcohol. Sure, she used it to treat wounds sometimes. But that made her think it wasn't safe to drink at all. And she could tell it wasn't, from what was happening to the other ninja. "That wouldn't be good... It's not good for you..." Yuina said, mostly to herself. She giggled as he hiccuped, which for some reason seemed strange. She looked back to the ninja, and tilted her head, "Um... Who are you anyways?" looking away, she continued on, waiting for him to respond.

Maru laughed under his mask at her laughing at him, "Don't laugh at me," He said as he removed his mask, revealing his face. He attached it to his belt and touched the hairs along the edges at the top. "My name is Maru Maru, and I'm a Konoha ANBU member, haha, not that you could tell by my performance back there. He shook his head again and realized that wasn't a good idea as he felt what was in his stomach rise up. no not here he though, willing it back down.

"The sounds you make from drinking that are funny." Yuina said nonchalantly, watching the ninja take his mask off. She reached and placed her hair behind her ear, smiling softly. "I'm Yuina. A Suna medic. And I can tell. Your charka is strong, stronger than many nin I am friends with." noticing how Maru suddenly looked sick, the small girl stopped him. "Rest. It'll help." she told him, a more serious look on her face. Saving sick people was her favorite thing to do, after all. Thinking, she attempted to come up with some jutsu she could use to help Maru.
